Catrice-Big Spender Wanted!

My NOTD: 2 coats of Catrice-Big Spender Wanted and 1 coat of Essie-Good To Go. This is a pretty pink polish with golden shimmer. And although I think it's a lovely shade, I'm not sure if I'll wear this for long, as it looks a little old-fashioned. Mature. Actually, I think it's a "mom colour", LOL!

Ciaté Paint Pots-Knickerbockerglory:Review

Are you ready for perfection in a beautiful little bottle? Please meet Ciaté Paint Pots-Knickerbockerglory!
My star sign is Leo, and lions LOVE luxury. I’m the kind of person who likes to display all her beautiful jewellery and tiny pots of cream and perfume on her beauty desk. So I’m sure you can imagine how happy I was when I received this bodacious beauty! Check out this long and slim, yet curvy bottle, with its cute ribbon bow! Isn’t this just the most stylish nailpolish ever? This deserves a special place on my beauty desk.
Now the polish: Knickerbockerglory is a very rich, luscious hot pink from Ciaté’s “brights”. This is absolute perfection. It glides on like butter, and you can easily get away with just one coat, because of its full coverage!( I do wear 2 coats in the pics, and a coat of Seche Vite ) The brush is very easy to work with; it has a nice long handle. When you hold the bottle between your index finger and thumb, the curve in the bottle fits perfectly to your thumb! So smart!
In my opinion this is exactly what you would expect to get when you buy luxurious cosmetics: good quality, and a pleasure to the eye. But without the price tag that scares you away.
Ciaté has a nice collection of 35 shades, and this summer they launched the Festival Fever collection, including 6 summery shades of polish.(Click here to go to their website!)
I NEED to get 3Am Girl and Burlesque, both from the Fashionista collection, and Couture from the Nudes collection! I fell in love with this brand!

HEMA- Wetlook Nailpolish nr.05

HEMA (Hollandse Eenheidsprijzen Maatschappij Amsterdam):), is a Dutch department store. A lovely one, where you can find good quality, no nonsense items. From children's clothing to umbrellas, from bicycles to...nailpolish.
Yesterday I saw this beauty (and another one, coming up next)standing on the shelve. Wetlook nailpolish! For just 2 euro, I couldn't resist.
When riding home on my bicycle, I started thinking it was actually a little ridiculous to buy a "Wetlook" nailpolish, because Seche Vite can make ANY nailpolish look "wet". Anyway...
I'm wearing 2 coats of nr.05, without Seche! And you know what? It was dry in just 10 minutes! Ofcourse I need to see how long it's going to last, but for now, I'm loving its formula and the rich colour!It was very easy to apply. A thin polish which covers very well. And it really has a nice wetlook!Not the mirror glass wetlook you can achieve with Seche, but it does look wet. Thumbs up for HEMA!

NOTD: Essie-Expose Your Toes

Essie-Expose Your Toes. Such a pretty and flattering nailpolish, but also an incredible PITA to apply!The cuticle drag got me very irritated. It took me 3 coats to get an acceptable result, but after applying Seche Vite, my mani started to shrink. Highly annoying.
But than again: it's sooo pretty! Just perfect for tanned skin:), and I bet this would make an amazing pedi!Have a nice weekend everyone!

NOTD: Eyeko-Tea Rose

Today I'm wearing 2 coats of Eyeko-Tea Rose, and Seche Vite. This is such a pretty colour!I'm feeling all girly and sunny with this polish on my fingertips:). Actually, it makes me want to organize a tea-party in the garden(just for the three of us, and the dog).
Today the weather is lovely: we have sunshine, a bit of wind, not too warm, not too fresh... love it. So, I'm not going to sit behind the computer, I'm going to open all windows, put a lovely "Soy Wax Tart Melt" in the burner(with fresh linen fragrance), and clean the house. :*

Essie Guilty Pleasures

Dit is de eerste Essie nagellak die ik heb gekocht. Velen volgden, maar deze heeft een speciaal plaatsje in mijn stash. Sexy hot pink. Love.

Color Club-Take Me To Your Chateau: 2 laagjes. Color Club-Vintage Couture: 2 laagjes. Color Club-Hot Couture: 1 laagje, +Seche Vite.
Toen ik TMTYC ontving, moest ik gelijk denken aan Vintage Couture; dezelfde samenstelling, dezelfde zachte pastelkleuren, het is gewoon familie! Dus moesten ze uiteraard samen in 1 manicure, voor een suikerzoete look. (zeer geschikt voor babyshowers,LOL)Om het nog zoeter te maken heb ik er nog een laagjes Hot Couture aan toegevoegd. Kawaii!!

When I received TMTYC, I had to think about Vintage Couture; the same formula, the same soft pastel colours, they're family! So, ofcourse they had to be put together in one manicure, for a sugar sweet look. (very appropriate for babyshowers,LOL)
To make it even sweeter I added a coat of Hot Couture. Kawaii!!

Ze zijn allemaal geweldig, hebben een goede samenstelling en zijn zeer makkelijk aan te brengen. High Society heb ik ook even naast You Don't Know Jacques gezet, om te laten zien dat hij een stuk lichter is. Ik ben vooral erg onder de indruk van Take Me To Your Chateau, wat een schoonheid! Manicure foto's komen er uiteraard aan! (ik heb van alle kleuren 2 laagjes aangebracht)

They're all great, have a good formula and are very easy to apply. I also made a pic of High Society next to You Don't Know Jacques, to show it's quite a bit lighter.
I'm especially impressed by Take Me To Your Chateau, what a beauty! Manicure pics are, ofcourse, on their way. ( I used 2 coats for all colours)

NOTD: Basic Concept-Frost Berry

Dit merk is te koop bij Woolworth in Duitsland, voor 1,50 euro. Heel fijn om aan te brengen, je zou niet zeggen dat het zo'n goedkoop lakje is. Ik begin weer steeds vaker bij de goedkopere merken te kijken, omdat er van die juweeltjes tussen zitten! (2 laagjes+topcoat)

You can find this brand at Woolworth in Germany, for 1,50 euro. Very easy to apply, you really can't tell it's such a cheap polish!Lately I've been checking out the cheaper brands more often, because there you can find little treasures!(2 coats+topcoat)

P2 Cheeky+ Essie Silver Bullions

P2 Cheeky+ Essie Silver Bullions, om de tipwear (na 1 dag al) te verbergen, maar je ziet het nog steeds. Het is wel een mooie combinatie!

P2 Cheeky+ Essie Silver Bullions, to try to hide the tipwear (after 1 day already), but you can still see it. It is a pretty combination though!

Donkerroze crème lak van P2, 2 laagjes+ Seche Vite.

Opi Second Honeymoon+Essie Pinking Up The Pieces

Essie Pinking Up The Pieces is 1 van mijn favoriete roze nagellakken; zachtroze met een blauwe gloed, wow. Het enige teleurstellende is de dekking, je hebt echt veel dikke lagen nodig om de vrije rand te verbergen. Dus ging ik op onderzoek uit, om te kijken met welke lak ik deze zou kunnen combineren. Tot nu toe bevalt de volgende combinatie mij het beste (dit draag ik ook op de foto): 2 laagjes OPI Second Honeymoon+ 2 laagjes Essie Pinking Up The Pieces+ Seche Vite. Het resultaat is een perfect dekkende, zijdeachtige roze kleur. Ik hou er zo van :) (mini nailart-detail is een waterslide decal)

Essie Pinking Up The Pieces is one of my very favorite pink polishes; a soft pink with a blue flash, wow! Unfortunately, it's opacity is disapointing, you really need a few thick layers to get full coverage. So, I did a little research to find a perfect combination of polishes, and for now, this is the one I like the most(It's also what I wear in the Pics): 2 coats of Opi Second Honeymoon+ 2 coats of Essie Pinking Up The Pieces+ Seche Vite. As a result you get full opacity, and a silky pink colour. Love!! (the tiny nailart detail is a waterslide decal)

Glitter: China Glaze Preppy Pink

Preppy Pink doet me denken aan aardbeien-roomijs, maar dan met glitters. Het is géén glanzende lak, een topcoat is echt noodzakelijk, maar daarna is hij wel héél schattig. 2 laagjes+ Seche Vite.

This polish reminds me of strawberry icecream, but with glitter. It does need a topcoat, as it's not shiny itself, but after applying a layer of Seche it's super cute! This is 2 coats+ Seche Vite.

NOTD: Essie Chubby Cheeks

Deze kleur is echt superdeluxe.Orange meets Coral meets Pink...en het is géén felle kleur!Ik wordt iedere keer weer vrolijk als ik 'm draag.
Geen problemen met aanbrengen, gewoon een echte Essie. Dit zijn 2 laagjes plus topcoat.

Valentine's Manicure "Pink-ing Of You Swarovski"

Mijn Manicure van vandaag: OPI Pink-ing Of You (2 laagjes) + Swarovski Crystals+ Seche Vite Topcoat. Ik had ff geen zin zin in rood met hartjes....

P2 swatches

O.k., daar zijn ze dan, de swatches. Ik ben gister zonder handschoenen buiten geweest, vandaar de slechte conditie van mijn nagelriemen. Straks even een olijfolie-badje...
Maar goed, de nagellak. De eerste swatch is van "dangerous". Het leek in de winkel op een blauwgroene kleur, maar eenmaal aangebracht vond ik het meer een doorsnee donkergroen. Wel mooi, maar niets bijzonders. De formule is niet zo geweldig, de lak wordt vrij snel dik en stroperig. Dit zijn 2 laagjes.
De tweede swatch is van "elegant". Wow!!!Dit is een echte beauty. Een grijzige lavendel met roze shimmer, zó mooi! Ik ga volgende week een back-up aanschaffen. De formule is gewoon goed, een tíkkie waterig, maar met 3 dunne laagjes krijg je een goed dekkende kleur. Dit maakt me blij, heerlijk.
Swatch 3 is van "sweet". Zo sweet is deze niet. Een ellendige nagellak om aan te brengen; dik, stroperig, en ik had ontzettend last van "cuticle drag".(de nagellak sleept onderliggende laagjes bij de nagelriem weg, waardoor je kale plekken in de lak krijgt. Erg irritant)De kleur daarintegen, is wél mooi; een zacht zalmroze met lichte shimmer. Dit zijn 3 dikke lagen.
De laatste, "gracious", is prachtig. Een lichte mauve, met paars-blauwe shimmer. Hij doet z'n naam recht, gracious it is! Ik krijg hier een vintage gevoel bij. Dit wordt mijn manicure van vandaag. Love it!Op de foto draag ik 3 dunne laagjes, en het aanbrengen ging probleemloos.

Misschien is de kwaliteit van deze nagellak niet altijd even goed, de prijs is dat wél! Ik bedoel, voor 1,55 euro per flesje van 8ml mag je niet klagen. Ik ken geen ander goedkoop merk dat zulke goede kleuren nagellak in z'n collectie heeft. En dit zijn er maar 4, ze hebben nog véél meer! Binnenkort meer P2, want ik ben blij verrast.
Ik koop mijn P2 produkten in Duitsland bij DM, een grote drogist. Bij kruidvat verkopen ze ondergoed van P2, maar de cosmetica heb ik niet meer gezien sinds 1,5 jaar. Ik weet dus ook niet of het ergens in NL te verkrijgen is.

NOTD Color Club Pink Thong

Fruitig roze met shimmer, just pretty! Dit zijn 2 laagjes met topcoat.(Zoals je ziet is er al sprake van een beetje "tipwear".)
