My mother in law just sent me an e-mail, reminding me that today is World No Tobacco Day 2010.
My husband quit smoking last thursday, and because of that he's going through a tough and nervous period now. I'm very proud of him, as he's doing surprisingly well! He was a "real" smoker. He smoked way too much, just distgusting, and terribly unhealthy. I'm very happy, as we see each other more often now. He used to spend hours in the shed and garden, just smoking. And I always needed to wait, everywhere: "you enter the shop, I'm going to smoke first" or "you find our seats for the concert, I'm going to smoke first" or "you wait allone in the line at the post-office, I'm going to smoke". DUDE! I'm sooo happy that's over now, you just can't imagine!
If you are a smoker: Quit, today! It's better for yourself, and everyone around you. And I do know how difficult it is, because years ago I also was a "part-time smoker".(I only smoked at parties and after dinner, and started to associate fun with cigarettes)
