People in big cities walk past them every day, they perform on the streets. Part of them are talented, some are not, and most do not do for a purpose greater than themselves.

But on Monday, Abby Miller, 12 years old. He performed in the way Washington Union Station to help his old friend Taylor Love, 4 years old who has cancer.

Abby sat in front of the station with some friends, sing songs and play guitar. Passers-by looking to see her singing talent, stopped to listen to the cold weather, with some putting money in buckets at her feet. She said the money was to assist and support the Taylor family.

Several passersby stopped to write a message in "Love Notes," on a small card designed to encourage to strive to be through hard times Taylor Love.

Her mother read the message in "Love Notes" from them for himself before he went to bed at night, "she said." Taylor getting excited for their support and he loved them because he knows that many people who supported him and the people really think about it. "

Taylor hit neuroblastoma, a cancer that affects the nervous system.
According to its Web site, she is in recovery, but this type of cancer has a high risk of relapse. There is little research on the disease, in which there are about 650 new cases in the United States each year.

Mike Gillette, a family friend of both Taylor and Abby, brought the two girls together. While raising money and support for him is important, she said, she thought she bids can help bring more awareness critical for this terrible disease. "He really wanted to reach people all over the country," he said.

Gillette said he had taken her to do a similar show in the District of Columbia, New Jersey and Virginia, and estimate they have raised thousands of dollars and get people to write several hundred "Love Note." She is nothing more than raise money and awareness for his friend. Taylor's mother, Aimee, said that although she was eight years older than Taylor, the two often meet each other and have a special relationship that helped her get through her illness.

"I think amazing for a kid 12 years old, she is able to help my daughter, she wanted to inspire other kids to do good as he did," said Aimee Love.

"The joy I see in him when he saw the light she brought into my life."

Taylor's family said that this treatment is very painful. But she said, Taylor has a very large characters.
"He's the happiest girl in the world, which I think just incredible," she said.
"He's very pleasant to be around. She was a little 4-year-old but he's got a heart like a thousand adults." said Aimee Love

Her daughter felt the same about her. "It gives him someone to aspire to, someone will be inspired by it," he said.
